Alexander Campbell was born on February 8, 1820 on the island of Jamaica. He arrived in California on August 7, 1849 on the Barque Peytona after a journey around Cape Horn. His occupation was the practice of law. Mr. Campbell died in Los Angeles on July 6, 1911.
